A segment archway is simply a piece of a circle or a chord.
For a given width and a given rise height, there is only one circle that can be drawn. Therefore, a segment arch shape can be determined by specifying a width and a rise height.
ArchCraft® has standard segment arches which are defined by using a constant rise height of six inches for all opening widths. Opening widths for segment arches range from 30 inches to 9 feet in small increments.
If an ArchCraft® standard segment does not meet these requirements, custom segments can be specified with a width and a rise. One of our product representatives, along with our design department are happy to draft a segment archway of your desire.
